Sand Dune, Sossusvlei, Namibia
The setting sun in Sossusvlei causes dramatic differences in light and shadow. The edge of the sand dune could have been cut with a knife, while the camel thorn trees stand in stark contrast to the ripples running up the side of the dune. There's something unique about the light in Africa, giving real extremes of light and dark.
